I find that Long-Tail Keywords ** work far better than the single ones. It will take an hour or two to briefly inform yourself on the bare essentials of SEO, but it can take much longer to learn it very well. SEO is also dynamic – it changes over time as new methods are introduced, and as old ones are discarded (….often because the search engines, such as Google, introduce new bans and or penalties for their use).
Using SEO Software
Some SEO Software which was widely used only a few years ago might get you banned if used today, therefore it is imperative that the SEO information and tutorials you use are current or up-to-date with the latest methods, and check too that any SEO software you may use is not prohibited. Software which is installed on your website, such as Yoast SEO’s WordPress plugin is safe to use, but SEO software that essentially spams other websites should probably be avoided…
Other things to consider – such as website optimization..
It is also important to realize that SEO is not an end in itself – you will also need to make sure that your website is optimized for loading and is not slow (Google began penalizing slow sites recently…), and ensure that your images are optimized in regards to their file-size size and also optimized for the search engines by including information and or your keywords in their image titles, alt tags, etc. There are many small, simple SEO techniques such as these which, when combined, can make a substantial difference to the overall SEO of your site.
When it comes to SEO, Content is still king….
But in the end, the most important thing that you need to remember is the reason people why will want to visit your site – the content or product / service that people see when they visit your site. You need to make sure your website content, product or service is something they will want to read or buy, and is good enough that they will want to come back to read or buy more in the future. Therefore you should make sure that what you put on your website is not just rich in keywords, but rich in interest as well.
